Who SOFT velour is for
SOFT is the warmest and softest of our four fabrics. It suits breeds that feel the cold and love to burrow: chihuahuas, Yorkies, Pomeranians, maltipoos, dachshunds. For a cat, an XS or S bed in SOFT velour is a warm berth with a bolster to curl up against and hide the nose. Short-haired dogs without an undercoat — Dobermans, French bulldogs — get from SOFT the warmth their own coat doesn't provide.
What makes the fabric different
SOFT velour is an upholstery fabric with a dense, soft pile — the same grade as mid-range sofa covers. Despite the pile, it stands up to washing: the colour holds at 30°C, and the fine hair of small breeds doesn't work into the pile — it brushes off. Claws leave no snags; the base weave is as dense as in all our fabrics.
When to choose it
SOFT is chosen by feel: if your dog sleeps pressed against the bolster or burrows under a blanket, this is its fabric. Small dogs get washed more often than large ones, so the removable YKK-zip cover earns its keep here; a spare is available separately. If the dog is active, often wet, or prefers a cool surface, oxford or rogozhka is the more practical pick. All 7 sizes: from XS 50×45 cm (inner space 25×25) to 3XL 145×115 cm rated up to 100 kg.
