What to consider when choosing
For a Chihuahua of 1.5–3 kg we recommend size XS — inner space 25×25 cm, made for curled-up sleeping. The Chihuahua feels the cold like almost no other breed, so its bed is first of all a warm "den" with a bolster to hide behind — not floor space.
Don't buy "room to grow" or "to be safe": in a too-big bed a Chihuahua huddles in a corner and gets cold, because empty space doesn't warm. We see it in the orders: owners swap an S back for an XS more often than the other way round. S (space 40×30 cm) — only if the dog genuinely sleeps stretched out.
