What to consider when choosing
For a Yorkie of 2–3.5 kg we recommend size XS — inner space 25×25 cm, sized exactly for a dog that sleeps curled up. A Yorkie looks for warmth and security in a bed, not floor area, so you measure for the curled-up pose, not "room to grow".
With tiny breeds the mistake is the reverse of large ones: people take a "symbolically bigger" S or M — and the Yorkie huddles in a corner, because empty space around a 2 kg dog doesn't keep it warm. We see it in the orders regularly. Take the S (space 40×30 cm) only if the dog genuinely sleeps stretched out.
A Yorkie's bed gets washed more often than a big dog's — this dog lives on beds and laps. Our fabrics are upholstery-grade, like sofas: the colour survives dozens of 30°C washes, and a Yorkie's fine hair doesn't weave into the pile. SOFT velour is the warmest — the most common pick for Yorkies.
On the small sizes we kept the bolster lower than on the large ones: easy for a Yorkie to step over, comfortable to lean its back against. The first thing to wear out is the cover — small dogs dig their "nest" too. The cover is removable on a YKK zipper, and a spare can be ordered separately.
