What to consider when choosing
For a Maltipoo of 3–6 kg we recommend size S — inner space 40×30 cm, sized exactly for a dog sleeping curled up by the bolster. A Maltipoo looks for softness and security in a bed, so we measure for the curled-up pose: the dog lying in a ball, plus 10 cm.
Don't buy a bigger size "to grow into": a Maltipoo stays within 3–6 kg as an adult, and in a too-big bed small dogs feel exposed and huddle in a corner. M only makes sense if the dog sleeps stretched out at full length — a minority among Maltipoos.
A Maltipoo's curly coat catches on coarse fabrics — that's why we recommend the SOFT and TOUCH velours: smooth, the hair doesn't weave in and brushes off. The fabrics are upholstery-grade, like mid-range sofas: the colour survives frequent washing, and a light-coloured Maltipoo gets washed regularly.
The first thing to wear out is the cover — a Maltipoo digs its "nest" too, if delicately. That's why the cover is removable on a YKK zipper, and a spare can be ordered separately: same bed, new "clothing".
