What to consider when choosing
For a Golden Retriever of 28–34 kg we recommend size 2XL — inner space 85×70 cm. Measure the space between the bolsters, not the bed edge to edge: a Golden sleeps stretched out on its side, and if the space is short, the paws press into the bolster or hang onto the floor.
The most common mistake we see at the workshop is sizing "just barely enough" to save room. XL (space 75×55 cm) only suits a smaller female that sleeps curled up; for full-length sleeping take the 2XL. Measure your dog lying down and add 10–15 cm.
A Golden has a dense undercoat and sheds heavily twice a year. Our fabrics are upholstery-grade, like mid-range sofas: hair doesn't weave into the pile and brushes off in a minute, and the colour survives wash after wash. TOUCH velour and oxford clean up easiest. The thin textile of cheap beds clogs with undercoat beyond saving.
For large breeds we raised the bolsters — a Golden loves sleeping with its head up, and the bolster works as a pillow. The first thing to wear out is the cover: dogs dig at it and lie on it wet after walks. That's why the cover is removable on a YKK zipper, and a spare is available separately.
