What to consider when choosing

For a French Bulldog of 9–14 kg we recommend size L — inner space 60×50 cm. Measure the space between the bolsters: a Frenchie sleeps both curled up and sprawled on its back, and rests its head on the bolster — a flat-faced dog breathes easier that way in its sleep.

Buyers often take the M — "it's a small dog". A Frenchie is not small: it's heavy and wide, 12–14 kg on short legs. M (space 50×43 cm) only works for a dog under 10 kg that sleeps strictly curled up. Measure the dog lying down and add 10–15 cm — at the workshop we see size-saving end in returns.

The fabrics are upholstery-grade, like mid-range sofas: they take the claws when a Frenchie "digs" its spot and don't fade in the wash. A Frenchie's short stiff hair spears into loose cheap fabrics — from our TOUCH velour and rogozhka it brushes right off.

We deliberately made the bolsters higher on the models for medium and large dogs — so the dog can rest its head. For a Frenchie that's not a detail but a way to breathe easier in its sleep. The first thing to wear out is the cover — that's why it's removable on a YKK zipper, with spares sold separately.

FAQ

What bed size for a French Bulldog?

For an adult Frenchie of 9–14 kg we recommend L: outer 90×80 cm, inner space 60×50 cm, with a pronounced bolster. A smaller dog fits M (75×65 cm).

Why does a Frenchie need a pronounced bolster?

A flat-faced dog sleeps more comfortably with its head raised — easier breathing. The springy bolster works as that support.

Which fabric is best for a Frenchie?

Soft SOFT or TOUCH velour — the Frenchie loves cosiness. The cover comes off on a YKK zipper and machine-washes: folds and activity need frequent washing.

Buy a Frenchie puppy's bed with room to grow?

Yes, a Frenchie reaches adult weight by one year — take the L right away. The removable cover survives the puppy period.
