What to consider when choosing
We recommend XS for a toy terrier — a 25×25 cm inner space. Measure the dog in the pose it actually sleeps in: most toys curl up, and a compact den with a bolster holds warmth better than a roomy bed. With tiny breeds the mistake runs opposite to large ones — people size up "just a little" and the dog ends up huddled in a corner.
A short coat with no undercoat means the warmth comes from the bed, not from the dog. SOFT velour is the warmest fabric we use and the usual pick for toys. The sectioned-quilt mattress insulates from a cold floor, which a 2.5 kg dog notices. The cover comes off on a YKK zip and washes at 30°C — small dogs need washing often.
